Hi there, tomorrow I will be 11 weeks old. I am getting better at some of the things I have been working on for a while like focusing on and swinging/grabbing at things hanging from my play yard. I am starting to do a lot of fun new things too.
Like staying home with Daddy on Fridays. This week I even took a few good naps for Daddy.
Mommy thinks I'm a real catch, I think that is pretty cool, and even funny. I like to show her my smile and even laugh a bit.
I've started holding onto my rattle, I even shake it sometimes.
I like to see what it tastes like too...Mommy says my taste buds will soon be the window to my world. Right now I like to put mostly just my hands in my mouth and sometimes the rattle.
I can put some weight on my legs, but I still like it when Mommy holds me. In addition to these things I still like taking naps in my bouncy seat and I have started to sleep in my crib at night! Mommy says she doesn't sleep as well when I am down in my room, but I sure seem to be sleeping well. That's all for now. Check me out next week when I am sure I will be doing more great things.

Hangin with Henry
The weather on Saturday was really nice in Telluride so we went for a walk to one of daddy's jobsites. That night we got to have Henry and his parents Ryan and Ashley over to repay them for the meal they invited us to a while back. We can't wait till Simon and Henry are old enough to sit on the floor and make faces at each other, but this will happen soon enough.

2 months
It was a big week for Simon. He had his 2 month check up where he weighed in at 10lbs. 12oz and measured a whopping 24 1/4" in length. he got a good report from the doctor, and had his first round of vaccinations. It is tough to watch your baby scream after the scare of his first shots:( Thursday was officially Mommy's first day back at work and Simon's first day of daycare. He did great at daycare, and I think he's going to like the interaction and change of environment for a few days a week. Then on Friday it was Daddy Day, and Shane stayed home with Simon while Mommy logged another day of work.

Check out that wingspan!
Sometimes all it takes for a good nap is a vibrating pink bouncy seat! We borrowed this one from our neighbor Melissa.

Nana time
Laura's mom (Nana) came to visit last week. She was a big help and we enjoyed having her very much. She gave Shane a much needed break from making dinner and she got to see a true Telluride snowstorm. Unfortunately Simon, who has recently turned into a real Mama's boy, didn't behave as we would have hoped, but I think she enjoyed him all the same, smiling or crying.

Pop Pop's hat might take a while to grow into...we'll have to find a 4 foot fly rod to go with it.

Simon is really starting to enjoy bathtime.

Trick or Treat
Our little pumpkin!
With long skinny legs. Simon now weighs 9lbs. 7oz. and is 23 inches long!
The cats seem to have a newfound bond lately, we often find them hanging out together.
Playtime is getting more fun as Simon is starting to swing his arms and hit his toys with them.
Game Day...too bad the Wildcats are a bit dissappointing this year.
The big treat of Halloween is that Nana came to visit us!
That makes us happy and we can show off our new smile!
